Telecommute: Elijah Chancey SAGE Level IV (Senior) - Click for resume I understand your organization has an opportunity available for which I would be a good fit. I am a Senior Systems Administrator with a virtualization focus and a twelve year history of designing, deploying and supporting business-critical computing infrastructure. During my career I've co-founded an ISP, managed the IT infrastructure of a network security company and have provided high-end technical support while working for VMware. At my last position I combined deep knowledge of VMware products, a wide range of Systems Administration experience and an inquisitive approach to ensure customers received maximum value from VMware Global Support Services. While fielding calls from customers I communicated best practices, facilitated communication within customer technical groups, and helped them translate business requirements into robust infrastructure solutions. I'm well versed with a number of technologies and my competencies include: VMware, Linux, Windows, Networking and Storage. My credentials include a VCP (VMware Certified Professional) certificate and a Secret level security clearance. For more detailed information on my technical experience and the value I can bring to your organization, please take a look at my resume, which is available at www.elijahchancey.com. I appreciate your time and look forward to speaking with you. Warm Regards, Elijah A. Chancey Virtualization Consultant, VCP www.elijahchancey.com (720) 254 2703 Posted: Jun 14, 2009 11:08:20 AM Hinesburg, Vermont: Marc Farnum Rendino SAGE Level IV (Senior) - Click for resume Folks - While I have a great deal of experience designing and managing IS/IT solutions (from the wiring closets to systems integration - and user support thereof) several aspects may not be immediately apparent from my resume: With a B.S. in Computer Science from RPI, I have a deeper understanding of how the building blocks function, and more importantly, how they fail - so necessary to constructing systems that are reliable. Also while at RPI, I minored in Psychology; the beginning of a continuing study of how we interact with the technology and each other - in order to make these systems actually useful. I believe that the technology is a means rather than an end; that it should be a tool that fades into the background of the task at hand. Which has led me into the study and practice of such fields as: usability, automation, and fault-tolerance. I refer to my field as "Information Services" since the purpose is not the technology, but what is enabled by harnessing it. With a background in software development I am uniquely positioned to take great advantage of the large strides in open source technologies. I have a deep toolbox; hardware and software both; please see my resume for some specifics. From building out and growing a full Internet presence for several organizations, to providing the services necessary to energize the chaos of design, I've run the whole show often enough to fully leverage the IS calculus - to a purpose; every project must serve the larger goals of the organization. And even the most advanced technology eventually operates on a human scale. From vendor relationships, to collegial connections, to serving the people that live in the systems we build - in a truly collaborative fashion. Thanks very much for the opportunity, Marc Farnum Rendino 802-318-4674 mvgfr1@gmail.com Posted: May 11, 2009 06:45:09 AM |
